Second Possible Installation for Arronson
This installation is inspired by camel trappings from Turkmenistan. The background is simple because in reality the textile portion would be heavily patterned. I may do some collage on the floor, but obviously there needs to be more done to this piece for it to resonate as "completed." At this juncture it's difficult to say what more I need to do; I just need to start to build these things to see how they work and what problems need to be addressed. There would also be more than two pieces suspended from the ceiling. While there are areas that I like in this piece, there are several parts in the other installation that work better with the vocabulary of my paintings.

The Little Blog That Couldn't
As it turns out, it was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated to keep my blog updated during the Summer Semester. I have done quite a lot of thinking and have changed direction considerably with regard to my thesis exhibition. I am now going to do an installation or two, and I may include some paintings; it's all up in the air at the moment. The following images are some ideas that I had been playing with that sparked the ideas that are in the scale models. I am currently building new scale models that expand on the previously successful areas.
